Hi Pip - It has been very cold here and all of us had to wear our red coats when we went to the woods. We don't mind wearing them. I love to roll in the snow. Penny can run fast in the snow. Dudley likes to smell things in the snow. Saturday I will go to see my Valerie and she will cut the hair on my legs and feet so I don't get little snow balls. I am her absolute favorite. After it was cold, it got warm and rained and rained. Persons have towels on the kitchen floor for us to walk on and say they are too old to bend over and wipe our feet every time we go in and out. In the wintertime the man makes us lovely chicken stew he puts on our dry food at night. If we've been very good dogs we get scrambled eggs on Sunday. Sometimes with cheese. We like brunch. I would like to come and live with you for the rest of my days and have Lovely Chicken Stew. I don't get little snowball because I have very little hair. I get more bald as I get old. You can see Pink Skin on my tummy. My Person has bath mats on the floor around the door in the winter for us to walk over when we come in. She says that 16 feet are too many to wipe. You Person has twelve feet to wipe. Until next time. Bye Bye.
Hi Pip - Guess what - Dudley caught a live rabbit in the back yard the other night after dinner. Well, it was alive, and then it wasn't. The man person is always sad when Dudley gets a live animal, but he is mad when I find a dead one. Guess what again - Penny got sprayed by a skunk Sunday morning. The outside smelled of skunk and when Penny came in, the inside smelled of skunk. It wasn't too bad, and was mostly around her face. The smell went away, but persons would not nuzzle her face for two days. It has been very exciting, so now I have to rest. Your friend, Doyle
Pickle would LOVE to roll in Skunk Spray! We don't have Skunks in England except in the zoo. We have lots of Rabbits. I used to like Chasing Rabbits. Where we walked was a Rabbit Warren. I am too big to get down the holes.
We have just had the Hottest February ever. Person says she finds that Ominous (whatever that means).
Hello Pip, Look what I found in the woods on Saturday - a BIG deer antler shed. This is the biggest one I ever found. It is my new treasure. The picture shows how much bigger it is than the other one I found. Penny and Dudley smell in the woods but I find things. Penny likes to chew on the antler and I let her. It is the only thing she likes as much as her ball. Persons say that Dudley will turn 14 next week. What do you do to celebrate your birthdays in England? Do you have a special tea? Your friend Doyle
I don't chew anymore but Pickle, Zara and Milly would LOVE that. They chew antlers, we call them Stagbars. I like it that Dudley and I are the Same Age. He seems to be keeping young.
