Pip - This is your blog and you mustn't let Pickle get his paw in the door. We have BIG CHANGES at our house. There is a new dog come to live with us. It is a GIRL dog and she is only 1. At first Dudley and I thought she was just visiting while her people were gone, but she hasn't gone home. Our persons say that this is Her Home now too. She pesters me to play. What did you do when Zara came to live with you? This new dog is called Penny and both of the people are spending too much time on her. Can I come and stay with you? I am an English Springer Spaniel, so I think I will fit right in at your house. I will leave Dudley to cope with Penny. Doyle
When Zara came she had Pickle to play with. Zara has never annoyed me (Pickle did that. Pickle still does). We would ALL love you to come and stay here with us Doyle - maybe not Milly though. She takes a long time to be friends with new dogs. Sometimes Milly who is a GSD bullies Zara. Zara is very submissive. She is now 7 and Pickle 8. A strange thing - they were both born on the 27th June. Penny is now a teenager and it can only get better. I know. We have three dogs younger than myself and they all went through that. I had to go through it also.
My advice for you with Penny is to do what I did with Pickle. I found a high chair with a cushion where he couldn't fly all over me and stayed out of his way. Bye for now my friend, Pip
Hi Pip, Are you a brave dog? I am mostly a brave dog. I do not like the vacuum sweeper. I do not like the ironing board. I do not like to be around a fire. Persons would like me to be with them in the living room when there is a fire in the fireplace. They say to come and be warm and cozy. I go to my upstairs bed and shake instead. Dudley likes the fire. Penny likes the fire. I go to my bed when I see the man start to bring logs in the house. I have never been hurt by fire. I have never been attacked by the vacuum sweeper or the ironing board. Persons say they like to have a fire in the cold weather, but they do not want me to shake. When there is no fire, my bed is right in front of the fireplace, and it does not bother me. Usually, I am very brave. Doyle
Doyle, I didn't know you were scared of many things. This means you are brave. Only scared dogs can be brave. My Person says is your person on Facebook so she can chat to your person? She can help you not to be frightened of the fire. xx
